Julian Casablancas Forced Out Of NYC By Brunch-Eating White People

And listen to The Voidz' new LP.

“I walk around New York now and get upset ... I don’t know how many, like, white people having brunch I can deal with on a Saturday afternoon,” Julian Casablancas says in the September issue of GQ, according to Page Six

In the interview, he discusses his new band The Voidz and their new record Tyranny, which according to the men's mag is all about money, health care, oil companies, and enviromental issues. "It's not very sexy to talk about these things, especially in a place like America, where things are, like, the best. But it just feels like we're inside that Versailles bubble, you know?"

"Tyranny has come in many forms throughout history," Julian said, according to Rolling Stone. "Now, the good of business is put above anything else, as corporations have become the new ruling body. Most decisions seem to be made like ones of a medieval king: Whatever makes profit while ignoring and repressing the truth about whatever suffering it may cause (like pop music, for that matter)."
