Watch: Earl Sweatshirt Performs 'Burgundy'

On 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon'.

Earl Sweatshirt's much-hyped album Doris is coming out soon, you guys. Get excited! The Odd Future rapper made an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon over the weekend, performing his latest single 'Burgundy' with The Roots. The Neptunes-produced track features MC Vince Staples playing the role of 'The Industry' by jeering and taunting young Earl, who's "tryna get this fuckin' album crackin'" even though he's "depressed and sad all the time like a little bitch." But 'The Industry' cares not for "what you're going through / or what you gotta do," and therein lies the #sadrap dilemma.

The lyrics might be emo, but the beat is excellent. Pharrell doesn't work with just any 19-year-old, you know. Plus, look how well Earl performed — strutting onto stage from the green room at the last minute, like he didn't even want to be there! What a kidder.
