Watch: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu 'Kira Kira Killer'

Sparkly murder.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu just released a new video, yay! The J-pop singer that brought us 'Mottai Night Land' and of course, 'Ponponpon', is preparing to release her third album, Pika Pika Fantajin — which the new track 'Kira Kira Killer' is from. What does the name mean? Well, 'kira kira' is Japanese for 'sparkly' so it's all about sparkly murder. Excellent.
As the cutie patootie said in a statement, "this [video] will be betraying people's expectation that I will make something fantasy and happy. So far I have tried to express my sense of fantasy in different ways but this time I think I accomplished expressing new and interesting view of the world. This is definitely a piece that people would say, 'this is so Kyary'. Please check out my new video!"
On the subject of her album, the artists who recently toured Australia says, "This album is a kawaii album full of shine and sparkle. I turned 21 this year so I will be more than happy if you could see me grown up a little?? The booklet comes with the limited editions."
Directed by Jun Tamukai, the new video is a hot mess of Kyary tropes — playing around with size (dancing giants alongside tiny Kyarys), warped perspectives (apples that turned into planets) and some playful metal themes. Click play for instant happiness.
