Watch Solange Create Magic In The Mini Doco Supporting 'A Seat At The Table'

Solange dropped her highly anticipated record A Seat At The Table last week, and oh my Jesus it's a work of art. So super moving, powerful, emotional and freeing.
Supporting the work is a short BTS doco that has just been released. Solange states the flick is "a look at the early days of jam sessions, experimentation, and the exploring of sounds and ideas for the album." V pure.
There are some songs that don't feel familiar, and Solange explains that "they helped to create and identify the sonic tone."
Filmed over three parts, Solange travels from Long Island to New Orleans for her initial jam sessions with the album's featured artists. "A lot of these days would just start with me singing a melody," she says. "Or someone playing a synth part or bass line, and would transition into an hour long jam." And then she moves to a small house in New Iberia, LA with just her engineers to create true structure.

They can talk, they can doubt, and they can say what they wanna, but only you have the words to narrate this ting we call life. So much gratitude for all of your wishes. So much gratitude for love.
